About CityMoS Depot
Test the plan against the working day.

CityMoS Depot is a microscopic digital twin platform that helps bus operators and transport agencies plan bus depots and optimise their day-to-day operations. By modelling individual vehicle movements and depot processes in detail, it addresses physical and operational constraints that conventional planning and scheduling tools often overlook, such as parking layouts, restricted vehicle access and congestion within the depot. CityMoS Depot supports mixed fleets of internal combustion engine and electric buses, multi-storey depots, and activities including charging, refuelling, washing and maintenance. This enables users to assess how depot layouts, fleet composition and operating strategies interact before committing to infrastructure changes or new procedures. Applications include more efficient parking allocation, smoother arrival and departure processes, and identifying the optimal number of charging stations for a depot’s fleet and service requirements. Operators can explore charging strategies that respond to fluctuating electricity prices while helping to reduce battery ageing and ensuring buses are ready for scheduled departures, fully supporting a transition to electric bus fleets.
intobyte can help
Seeded by us, nurtured by your data.
intobyte helps you build the initial scenario. You can then change parameters, duplicate scenarios, and compare alternatives using built-in tools. Inspect data for individual vehicles and infrastructure components, investigate events such as missed schedules, maintenance, and energy shortfalls, and export results for further analysis. This gives you a detailed basis for evaluating changes to daily operations and exploring opportunities for improvement.
